Your puppy will be ready to go home at 8 to 9 weeks old. They usually go home at 8 weeks old unless I feel they aren't ready.
The puppy comes home with a crate, a blanket that has been in their pen, collar, leash, and toys including a puppy with a heart beat. They will have had a vet exam and their first immunization (DAP) at 7 weeks old. They will have been dewormed 3 times. They come with a health record. I send literature about raising puppies. I send you information on what food to buy a month before the puppy goes home. I put a small amount of food in the bag. They will have a microchip placed at 7 weeks old which you will need to register with a service that registers them in a national pet recovery service, like Buddy ID, Home Again, or Avid.
We allow visitors after the puppies are 6 weeks old. We allow 2 visits per family. Puppy picking is after the vet visit at 7 weeks old because the vet helps me evaluate structure, temperament and teeth for "breed quality" dogs. So your 2nd visit to pick your puppy will be around 7 weeks old after my vet appointment.
